Saturday April 29 - both of us mystery shopped a bike shop in what has to be one of the most bicycle friendly cities in American, Davis California. Davis is also one of the most intensely competitive bicycle shop markets in the land - with three competing bike shops within a one square-block of each other, and four more within walking distance. We went in at different times, but both were treated to a Body Scanning (OK, I'm biased), a consultative interview and a test ride on a bicycle individually fitted according to the Body Scanning adjustments. The store was busy, but the sales associate guided us through the process quickly and in a friendly, customer focused manor. I also have never had a bike shop sales associate tell me that their goal is for me to love my cycling experience, and that if, for any reason, I don't love my purchase within 30-days, I can bring it back for a refit, exchange components, exchange the bike, or get by money back! This rated a big 4+ WOW from both of us - and we actually enjoyed the experience enough that we would have purchased if we lived in Davis!
